Why Did the United States Join in WWII?
The United States joined World War II because of the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. After the attack the United States acted in defense and declared war on Japan. Then allies of Japan declared war on the United States, so they had no other choice than to go to war in Europe. The Allies were also losing the battle against Germany and they needed aid from the United States.
